Address cards: a 3x5 and 4x6 contact card system with A to Z dividers
One card for each person, filed behind its letter. No more crossed out addresses or arrows in the margin.
Overview
Address cards in true 3 x 5 in and 4 x 6 in index sizes turn your contacts into a little card box, where each person or household has a card of its own rather than sharing a crowded address book page. The 32 undated pages include five card designs in both sizes with crop marks, lined and dot grid backs that match, and tabbed A to Z dividers plus Emergency, Family, Services and Holiday sections. You get US Letter and A4 PDF files to download right away, and nothing is mailed.
When someone moves, rewrite one card. Everything else stays neat.
How address cards keep contacts tidy
Fill in a card for each person and slot it behind the right letter by surname. The S section can never run out of space, and nothing has to be scribbled out. When a friend changes address, just copy out one new card and tick Updated.
A family card gathers the household's birthdays and anniversary together. The emergency card lives at the front of the box for a sitter, and the services card holds the doctor, dentist and plumber. Every autumn, pull out the holiday card list cards and tick off address checked, sent and received. That is where the system saves the most time.
Who will love a card box
- Anyone whose current address book is a maze of crossings out and arrows
- Families who mail holiday cards every year and want to see who received one and who wrote back
- Index card fans with a card box beside their planner who want contacts in the same system
- Parents who want emergency numbers and service contacts written down where a sitter will find them
Design and card sizes
- Elegant and minimal: white pages and soft blush pink details that use little ink
- Wide margins, so a home printer will not clip anything
- True trim sizes of 3 x 5 in (7.6 x 12.7 cm), three to a sheet, and 4 x 6 in (10.2 x 15.2 cm), two to a sheet, with crop marks, printed on US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) or A4 (210 x 297 mm)
- Undated: begin whenever you like and print a single card again when someone moves
- Print double sided with a long edge flip and the lined or dot grid backs match the fronts
